iPage.com Affiliate Program Review Scam

Note: All contents that is used from this post are all true and from a reference to my ipage.com account. I can provide a proof upon request, just comment on this post and I'll respond to it. Also, hope you all don't mind my english grammar as English is just my third langguage and hope you understand the contents.

FIRST OF ALL: I want you all to know that I have been on affiliate industry for almost 6 years now promoting products and services online. I know how to read their Terms of Services (TOS) or Terms and Conditions or whatsoever. I know how to comply and have performed my promotions clean enough with fairness.

On this matter, I know I have complied and qualified for sales commission but ipage affiliate program did not pay me! Yet, they still get new clients from my affiliate link that I have promoted online and through emails. Until now, they haven't pay me yet, it's almost 4 months now that I don't get my commissions.

I know lots of hosting providers that offer affiliate program has been broke but please remove your affiliate program on your business so none will promote your service anymore.

So, to all affiliates out there, please be aware!

Anyways, I am a web designer and developer and has been a customer of iPage.com since 2014 and their service is good but this post is not about that it's about their Affiliate Program.

What's about their Affiliate Program?...

Well, one day I was navigating on their website and landed on their affiliate program page so I check on it and was surprised on how much I can earn just by referring new customers to their website so I tried it and promote my affiliate link on the web as well to my client email lists.

At first I have made few sales and send me my commissions to my Paypal ID/address.
But after I made affiliate sales again recently from the month of March 2016, they suddenly stopped sending me my commissions instead they email me regarding to it with nonsense emails.
I know the policy, rules, affiliate commission terms etc. whatsoever so I know how to promote my affiliate link, when can I have my commissions and if the sales I made is qualified.

Obviously, when you made an affiliate sale to their website, it counts up to 45 days before they send you your commission to the payment method you choose. Then in order to be qualified for a commission, the customer you referred should be active on their account and should have activity going on for 30 days and should have traffic to their website for 30 days or so.

Now, I think all the terms was indeed achieve, I mean to make it short, I am qualified for the commission i guess.
There's a lot of activity going on from the customer's account that I have referred to from the month of March 2016 sales.
I have waited till April 30, 2016 for an equal of 46 days but then they send me an email or they responded to the ticket I created saying the commission is on hold and will be process till May 30, 2016 so I waited till now and then received an email again saying they will process and send me my commission till June 30, 2016.

I can't really believe it!...

You can see images below for the emails from the tickets that I have created from their support page:

First iPage affiliate support comments/message:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Affiliate Support - Prior to commission payments being processed all sales are reviewed for qualified commissions. When reviews are performed we use the guidelines set forth on the affiliate agreement to determine eligibility of a sale. It appears our review team was unable to deem your March sale as qualified for commission payout during the review cycle for the month of April due to the lack of account activity. For sales to qualify for payable commission we do require moderate growth from each account after the date of sign up. If an account is cancelled or lacks the appearance of growth within 30 days of sign up commission may be held for a second review or forfeited. This being said, your commission has been placed on hold. We have asked our review team to perform a second review of the sale during next months review cycle. If deemed as qualified payable commissions will be paid out by May 31,2016 to your designated method of payment.

  1. Here are some scam review for ipage affiliate program from a webhosting forum:

"iPage Affiliate has scammed me around $2000, I invested lots of my time (really lots) and effort to promote their service. and my hard work converted to sale. I made 18 sales in last two months, But surprisingly, iPage guys don't send several thousands of my commission!

They are trying to pay me $25 account credit for each sale which cannot be cashed at any instance.

  3. iPage rip me off $2000 of commission for my hard work in 3 months.

iPage frequently scam their affiliates ! A LOT OF TIMES. AGAIN AND AGAIN. A Lot Of Tricks !

If you ever read the iPage affiliate program section in their website, they basically saying that they will pay you $105 for each sale of $35.88 that you made for them (via referral). They are saying you can earn $105 for each sale of $35.88 if you affiliate with them directly in their system.

So, to work with iPage affiliate program, I had to build a good website, hire people to write articles, buying seo serives to boost the site's rank. I personally support every customer and referral, every single one of them to ensure their happiness with iPage. And yes, the first month they paid me $735. And I was so excited by the first payment from them that I decided to invest further into the business, I invested in videos, facebook pages, facebook ads, google ads, bing ads to promote them.

    Sales was on fire.

Guess what ? They didn't pay me for my second month performance, also my third, my fourth. I'm in my fifth month in doing affiliate with them. I tried to contact them via helpchat support, the helpchat supporters always tell me that affiliate issue is outside of their powers and they had reported the issue to a higher authorized department/manager to look into the problem and will response me via email within 24 - 48 hours.

It has been 3 months since the first message like that and they still fail to resolve the problem for me up to this point (3 months later). The problems with affiliate issues just built up. The amout of missing commission that they owe me also built up. I contact them via helpchat support and via email (to both affiliates@ipage-inc.com and support@ipage-inc.com) twice a week within 3 months to remind them but they just keep telling me to wait, someone is looking into it...

Freaking 3 MONTHS ! not just days or weeks. 3 MONTHS !

I have all my customers from DIFFERENT COUTRIES emailed them to confirm about their association with me but I'm still not paid for referring them.

Even now I still get the SAME message that someone is working on it every time I contact them via helpchat. However when the payment cycle comes, they just don't pay me and tell me to wait more..

IPAGE IS CLEARLY A SCAM. Please affiliates don't fall for it. They will pay you when you first affiliate with them, trying to bump you up and falsely motivate you. Then, in next upcoming months, when you doing really good, they will scam all your hard work just to get their money back. It's a trick I have seen a lot.

So my advice for you is that don't do affiliate business directly with them, do it via Cj.com for example (even in there, they can still scam you, but the risk is smaller) and don't stick with only one account. THE BEST ADVICE IS NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM !

THEY SCAM BOTH THEIR CUSTOMERS AND THEIR AFFILIATES ALOT OF TIMES ! JUST SERACH IN THE INTERNET AND READ,you will see ! THANKS

  4. Yes we lost $1000s of dollars as well with the ipage affiliate program. We think the issue may have been related to us offering ipage coupons to our customers and or not displaying the appropriate ftc disclosure.
